Description
This Emerald Celtic ring design with a 10k yellow gold bezel design originated from the Ardagh Chalice, Ireland’s foremost treasure, which was discovered in 1868 by two boys digging in a ring fort in Ardagh, County Limerick, Ireland.
The chalice is the finest example of eight century metalwork ever to be discovered and was the inspiration for this ring
This bold design echoes the shape of ancient Irish motifs, and it is a symbol of strength, loyalty, and bravery.
Contemporary Celtic jewelry often uses traditional Celtic geometric patterns.
The patterns found on this ring reflect La Tène Celtic art, which refers to a particularly fluid and interlacing pattern that reflects natural shapes, such as vines and leaves.
These patterns are repeated in contemporary Celtic jewelry, paying homage to the rich artistic tradition found in the Ardagh Chalice and other works.
Sterling silver with 10k yellow gold and a 3.5mm Emerald. The width of the ring is 9.5mm
